Conservation Easements:
• Bayou Land Conservancy is pleased to be working on more conservation easements along Spring Creek. We are beginning two large projects for wetland mitigation for The Woodlands Dev. Co. – a tract on the Montgomery County side of the creek and a second on the Harris Co. side of the creek. Plans are to complete these two projects by the end of March, 2012. These tracts will significantly increase the protected lands along Spring Creek by hundreds of acres.
• We have two new TCEQ - SEP projects that we have received and will be completing on Spring Creek within the next two months – both of these new projects came to Bayou Land Conservancy at the end of 2012.

Electrical Line Issue:
• We are currently making ExxonMobil, Spring Woods Dev. and Harris and Mont. Co. (our partners on the Spring Creek Greenway) aware of a new large CenterPoint electrical line crossing on the creek.
• We are actively working with the company and upcoming PUC hearings to potentially move this line to the least impactful area for the Greenway.
