  Trash Bash - 2008

2008 River, Lakes, Bays 'N Bayous Trash Bash™ Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Terry Hershey Park was a huge success.  More than 300 bags of trash were collected by 300 volunteers during the 4 hour event.

14 Boy Scout Troops, 3 Girl Scout Troups, area high school clubs and societies, moms, dads, kids, families of all sizes and employees from Shell Oil, BP/Amoco and KBR turned out to donate their time to this years cleanup.

The weather didn't start out to promissing but with no rain this year there was no stopping the cleanup at 3 sites throughout the park.

Bruce Heiberg, BPA Projects Committee Chairman and Vice President of the BPA once again headed up the event and under his supervision and expertise, everything ran smoothly and all the participants were pleased they were able to pitch in and do their part to cleanup the park.

Visit our Photo Gallery to see the Trash Bash volunteers in action.
